Voice recognition (seech recognition) has been a godsend. I can't tell you how many mouse clicks and keystrokes I saved. I use the computers a lot and would have had to stop years ago had it not been for speech recognition.
I designed e-Speaking Voice and Speech Recognition software for my own use. But others also found it excellent to use.

Stop using your hands to conrol everything. You learned how to speak when you were 1 year old. Communicating with your computer should be just as easy.
All I can say is: give it a try. Don't listen to those "nay sayers" who say that technology isn't there yet. The processing capabilities of computers double every 18 months. Speech recognition has been in computers for over a decade.
