em.. but one i took out and the top of it is like black & that ear is like bad it hurts and it just started bleeding today because i was picking something off of it & then i fell asleep and it dried. and it kinda hurts ... what should i do....is it infected?

What kind of earring did you have in? The black could be one of two things; either a reaction to the metal (I've actually had metal flake off in the hole-I had to squeeze it like a pimple and pick it out) or just dried blood. If you're not squeamish, I would suggest applying pressure (just like squeezing a pimple) and see what comes out. Clean it well with alcohol (yes it will hurt, but only for a second) and take some Tylenol for the pain. Clean it several times over the next day or two and see if it gets any better. If not, go to the doc's. Don't replace the earring until it's healed. Good Luck!! |
