The disease is caused by the Epstein-Barr virus which is transferable via saliva. So you can get Glandular fever when you kiss somebody (or when somebody kisses you), when you drink from the same glass, when you use the same cutlery, when somebody coughs in your face, etc.
The hard thing is that you only can get Glandular fever when you have a low resistance to infection. When you come into contact with the virus and you have a high resistance, it may not produce symptoms. |
