Lose weight fast?

I would like to lose weight quite fast, I can't do a set meal or anything because I board in a boarding school but I would like to lose some weight because I'm 14, 5'8" and weigh 140 pounds. I am doing regular exersize but how much do I need to do? And what should I eat- like how many carbs and what sort of food? Please help me! It's really been getting me down. >
