Cider vinegar benefits?

As cider vinegar is made from cider apples, surely it cannot contain any more vitamins and minerals than apple juice or cider. Why not just drink a small glass of cider?

"west country" cider contains a good quantity of phenols and various antioxidants you could not get a decent quantity of these in a tablespoon of cider vinegar, but you get a lot in a pint of cider.

Even better, a mixed salad with tomatoes, avocado, white grapes and pine nuts, prepared with salad herbs, olive oil and cider vinegar. A chunk of fresh buttered bread, all washed down with a strong apple cider. You're getting all the fantastic 'food fun' with lashings of phenols, antioxidants and vitamins! Bring it on!!
